Page templates

Every page in the book has one of four shapes. Each template below is a real page, so you see exactly what a reader will see. The grey text in it tells the writer what goes where.

Path chapter	Parts 0 to 6	about 500 words
Deep dive	Part 7	about 500 words, more folded
Case	Part 8, the casebook	about 500 words
Scenario	Part 9, practice	about 500 words

“Main part” is what a reader must read. Folded sections (Advanced, follow-up answers) do not count. pnpm book:check measures it.

Diagrams of a piece’s connections and tables of permissions are never drawn by hand: see Generated blocks.

To start a new page, copy the template (from phase B8: pnpm book:new <kind> <slug>), set kind to the template’s kind, and remove templateFor.
